This performative installation allows the viewer to observe and interact with ancestral tattoos based on Mesoamerican cultures. The tattoos were heavily inspired by religious symbols and icons within Aztec civilizations found within ancient scrolls and books. This piece serves as an homage to my father, as well as an exploration of my own family roots.
